A Center for Adoption Services is a nonprofit organization that operates differently than many adoption agencies. ACFAS offers free initial consultations to answer questions about the adoption process. ACFAS conducts adoption home studies and post-placement reports for a flat rate. ACFAS also offers counseling and education for all triad members plus consultation during the adoption process at an hourly rate.
- Domestic Adoption Home Studies ($1,500)
- Expedited Domestic Adoption Home Studies ($1,800)
- Domestic Adoption Home Study Update ($950 – updated annually)
- Stepparent Home Studies ($950)
- Kinship Home Studies ($1,500)
- Post Placement and Post Adoption Services ($550 per visit/report)
- Counseling and Education for all triad members ($120 hourly rate)
- Consultation on the Adoption Process ($120 hourly rate)
If there is extensive travel involved (more than 75 miles), ACFAS requests that the family/individual pay for one night of local lodging and gas (average cost $200 to $250). Once the adoption home study process is initiated (we have met for a visit), there are no partial or full refunds.
