About Us

A Center for Adoption Services, a nonprofit organization based in Washington state, is a licensed child-placing agency dedicated to assisting adoption triad members in healthy, mutually beneficial adoptions.

Dru Martin Groves, M.A. is the Director. She is a Certified Counselor with more than 30 years of experience in the field of adoption. She has worked extensively with adoptive parents and families, biological families and adoptees. Dru has a Master’s degree in Psychology, has completed the Foster Care and Adoption Therapy Program at Antioch University, and has training and experience in special needs and transracial adoptions. She also works with clients on post-adoption issues.

As an adoptee, Dru brings a unique perspective to the adoption process – one that places the child’s best interests first but also acknowledges that this is most often accomplished by accommodating the needs and wishes of the adoptive parents and biological families working together. Dru happily works with single parents, married couples, stepparents, relatives, and same- sex couples. She is a strong proponent of ongoing adoption education.
